In addition the workshop build race cars and prepare cars for customers that race locally and interstate.

Peters Motorsport has competed in Australia since 2001. During this time the team has competed and had success in V8 Utes, Production Cars, GTP, Touring Car Masters and V8 Supercars.

The team have won five Australian Championships, numerous Queensland Championships and well over 100 race wins. The teams founder, Brett Peters was ‘Rookie of the Year’ at the Bathurst 1000 in 1991 with a 5th place in the Playscape Ford Sierra and in 16 visits to the mountain stood on the podium 4 times. Brett also won back to back Australian Production car titles in 2001/2002.

The team currently field cars in the Australian Touring Car Masters Series. Ryan Hansford is the winner of the 2022 Touring Car Masters championship. Ryal Harris won the 2018/2021 Australian SuperUte series.

Peters Motorsport has also been awarded V8 Ute Australia ‘Team of the Year’ in 2012, and two (2) of its drivers, Ryal Harris and Ryan Hansford (son of the late Gregg Hansford) have each won the ‘Rookie of the Year’
award.
