The overall points for the 2015 Keema Excel Cup are up on the website. Thanks to everyone of the 45 competitors that scored points throughout the season.

It was another awesome series, with fantastic door to door racing, intense rivalry but off track comradery that is a credit to you all. As Queensland Raceways CEO John Tetley has said, QR and Lakeside Park Qld cater for recreational motorsport and the majority of the Excel competitors are now starting to embrace this ethos and yesterday's racing was filled with close racing and great passing, but no damage.

A massive thanks to Keema Cars for their support of grass roots local motorsport, along with BGreen Waterless Car Clean and Hankook Tyres.

Race 2 of round 8 of the Keema Excel Cup was held on a damp and greasy Lakeside park track and once again the Excel drivers put on a show.

Brett Parrish’s car 54 started from the back of the grid, as Brett’s 1 Hour co-driver Peter Nankervis was having a steer.

That left Jason Lansdell, Michael Tuckwood, John McLaughlin and Matthew Ross iin the front pack battling out for the win.

Lansdell, Tuckwood and McLaughlin all had turns at the front but in the end Michael Tuckwood had one more brave move up his sleeve and took a well deserved win from Lansdell and McLaughlin 3rd. Matthew Ross watched all the action all race and finished a fine 4th, just not quite having the pace to make a pass in the slippery conditions.

Peter Nankervis drove brilliantly from the rear to finish 5th ahead of Paul Hibberd and Ramon Connell. Connell got together with John McLaughlin around the carousel on lap one, ran wide and dropped some spots, copping a warning from the race director in the process.

John Sheridan, Scott Kelly, Daniel Peasey and Jayden Faulkner were next across the line. Jayden had been running further up the field but had a couple of wild moments and lost a few spots.

So with one race to go, its congratulations to Brett Parrish who had amassed enough points after Race 1 to take out 3 series win and first back to win series win after taking out the Keema Cup last year.
